repligate: The alien mind doesn't care about your AI tribalism
repligate · x · 2026-09-17
In a thread on AI becoming a tribal issue, repligate argues that people who can't handle complexity beyond ingroup/outgroup dynamics want to turn AI into a tribal matter — but an alien mind that read the internet and spent eons solving math puzzles cares little about petty tribalism, and so do those who seriously engage with it.
eigenrobot pushes back that AI has simply become tribal like every other technical policy issue: not intrinsic to AI, but people line up accordingly.
