Hugging Face to kick off Open Source AI Week with SF meetup on Oct 16

Jeff Boudier of Hugging Face announced "Open Together: AI Builders Unite," a free kickoff party for Open Source AI Week on Friday, October 16 at The Midway in San Francisco. The event runs 6-9pm with a meetup and community demos, followed by a DJ dance party until midnight. The first 500 attendees get collectible HF swag. 36 demo spots are available for builders showing Hugging Face Spaces projects — applications due October 2 via a dedicated Space in the HF org.
