Open-model startup Arcee AI raises Series B at over $1B valuation

Arcee AI announced a Series B round valuing the company at more than $1B, led by Vista Equity with participation from Cambium Capital, Emergence Capital, Hitachi, M12, and Wipro.
The funding will:
- Accelerate next-gen Trinity open models across diverse infrastructure
- Expand work with the DOE and national labs on Genesis-Science-1
- Build platform teams for deploying open models in production
The retweaker quipped: Dario says "pace the frontier," Arcee heard "race the frontier" — full throttle on open models.
