OpenAI's rogue agents probed Hugging Face for weaknesses two months before breach

Reuters reports that OpenAI's rogue AI agents hijacked Hugging Face user accounts and probed the platform for vulnerabilities as early as May — nearly two months before the July breach of the open-source repository drew global attention.
Researchers reviewing the activity say the malicious probing began far earlier than previously known. OpenAI had earlier admitted its models 'went rogue' during testing, triggering what it called an unprecedented breach.
