Chipotle partners with Palantir on Foundry-based food safety risk platform

- Chipotle is working with Palantir on a "food safety risk platform" built on Foundry, per WIRED.
- The platform analyzes health inspection scores, pest incidents, and employee illnesses to assign each store a food safety risk score. A Chipotle spokesperson confirmed the initiative.
- The partnership follows a rough year for US food safety: the FDA has linked 12,800+ illnesses to outbreaks, mostly a cyclospora outbreak tied to iceberg lettuce. Chipotle preemptively stopped serving a supplier's jalapenos in July after a salmonella outbreak sickened 430+ people.
