Stanford's James Zou Shows Paper MCPs: Agents From Different Papers Collaborating on Research

Stanford professor James Zou demonstrated turning academic papers into "paper MCPs" — auto-generated MCP servers that capture a paper's key know-hows, tools, and data. Giving an LLM a paper MCP is far more accurate and efficient than handing it the original paper plus code repo.
Going further, agents from different papers can collaborate with each other: an AlphaGenome agent worked with a GWAS dataset agent to characterize splicing mutations associated with ADHD risk — a working example of multi-agent, cross-paper scientific collaboration.
