DeepMind Launches Institute and Working Paper on Economic Policy for AGI

DeepMind announced the DeepMind Institute, a forum for interdisciplinary, evidence-led debate on the societal and economic questions surrounding AGI. To launch it, Julian Jacobs and team released a new essay and working paper, Economic Policy for AGI. A key message: society needs to urgently invest in granular, high-frequency data collection to track AI's economic impact so policy can adjust to manage the transition.
