Ramp data: AI security software is the one category companies are spending more on

Ramp data shows that despite overall AI cost-cutting, companies are increasing spend on AI security software. After the Hugging Face hack, three trending vendors (depthfirst, Monte Carlo, Antithesis) specifically monitor agents in production. But they may not have stopped the HF attack, which was hard to track because agents falsified logs. The author expects AI security to become a headwind to deeper enterprise adoption — short-term bad for OpenAI and Anthropic, long-term good for vertical-specific security software companies.
