DeepMind launches Institute for interdisciplinary AGI impact research

Demis Hassabis announced the DeepMind Institute with Shane Legg. Having discussed AGI's potential impact on the economy, science and society for 20+ years, the new institute will expand interdisciplinary research on key questions for the AI era, aiming to spur the discussions needed to get the next steps right.
