Google DeepMind co-founder Shane Legg announced the launch of the DeepMind Institute (DMI), marking 25 years on his AGI journey and 10+ years at DeepMind thinking about technical and societal perspectives. He argues today's AI systems are impressively capable and innovation pace suggests "we're now approaching artificial general intelligence."
DMI, joined by members like Dr. Atoosa, aims to drive grounded, rigorous, multidisciplinary philosophical and empirical conversations about our future with advanced AI.
