Anatomy-informed cat built in MuJoCo with articulated skeleton, muscles and flexible spine

A developer is building an anatomically informed cat in MuJoCo: an articulated skeleton, muscle and tendon paths, a flexible spine, and paws with moving toes and retractile claws. The method combines published anatomical measurements, specimen-derived vertebral meshes, and CT-based paw proportions, with explicit modeling assumptions where data is missing. Built on prior feline anatomy research (Rahmati et al. 2025, Burkholder & Nichols 2004, Katrina Jones 2021, Gonyea & Ashworth 1975); biological validation is still ahead.
