Microsoft Publishes Draft Code of Conduct for Frontier MAI Models

Mustafa Suleyman released a first-draft Code of Conduct governing Microsoft's MAI models as they approach the frontier, asserting AI must stay subordinate and in service of people. Quoting it, Max Spero predicts model welfare will become a major political issue by 2029, framing it fundamentally as a labor and class issue as future models evoke more empathy.
