Apodex open-sources FrontierAgent: CLI TUI agent framework with one-command local Agent Team runs
aakashgupta · x · 2026-09-16
Apodex has open-sourced FrontierAgent, its agent framework (3.3k GitHub stars):
- Native command-line TUI with both single-agent and Agent Team modes.
- One-command setup on macOS and Linux, no Docker dependency.
- Plugs straight into the Apodex 1.1 mini weights (36B, with FP8/NVFP4/GPTQ-Int4/GGUF quants) on Hugging Face for fully local execution.
- The full model powers a live web workspace, with a two-week free API for testing on your own files.
The author says the harness code alone is worth a read for agent builders.
