Apodex 1.1 argues a right answer can still be a failed task—execution is the unit of AI capability

Apodex 1.1 is built on one claim: a right answer can still be a failed task. The meaningful unit of AI capability is completing a real piece of work end to end—files, code, and a verifiable result—not producing a plausible report.

The release defines complete capability as six things: understand the goal, act in a real environment, hold state across a long run, absorb new feedback mid-execution, repair failures and keep going, and deliver verifiable results. Its line: "move reasoning out of the report and into the execution of real tasks."

The engine is an asynchronous agent team inside Deep Discover mode: the model decides whether to split a task, how many subagents to spin up, and when to consolidate. Subagents run in parallel and stream results into shared task state, users can step in before branches finish, and everything plays out on a live task board.
