After Suno dropped his chords, this user built a MIDI-to-.abc converter so YuE2 preserves them

He discovered that the open-source music model YuE2 accepts .abc notation input, so he vibe-coded an experimental converter that turns MIDI into .abc files passing YuE2's validation while fully preserving the chord progression, plus a simple UI. The demo shows YuE2 generating an orchestral piece from his MIDI input with all chords intact — a reusable trick for creators who want AI music generation to respect their own harmony.
