Sakana AI has opened a Forward Deployed Engineer (GTM) position, one of the founding members of the FDE function in its go-to-market team.
- Location: Tokyo (hybrid), full-time; business-level Japanese and conversational English required
- The role deploys Sakana AI's proprietary products (Sakana Marlin, Sakana Namazu, Sakana Fugu) into enterprise and government customer environments, driving them from PoC through production and company-wide adoption
- Responsibilities include designing integration architecture, connecting to existing systems and identity infrastructure, and resolving security, compliance, and IT-review requirements with customer teams
- FDEs are expected to feed field learnings back into the product codebase, turning one customer's success into a repeatable pattern
The move signals Sakana AI's shift from research-driven work toward productization and commercial expansion.
