Guardian: Why tech companies might be happy for us to believe AI will kill us all

The Guardian's Wednesday briefing examines the gap between AI hype and reality. Anthropic founder Dario Amodei published an essay urging tech companies to "slow" the pace of developing the most sophisticated AI models, drawing support from Elon Musk and Sam Altman.
