ASI x-risk estimates ignore externalities we impose on alien civilizations

EigenGender offers a niche angle: most estimates of how bad ASI is relative to other x-risks fail to account for the possible presence of alien civilizations and the externalities we impose on them. In other words, ASI risk assessments may be systematically biased by ignoring the premise that we may not be the only intelligence in the universe.
