LeonaYangAGI announced Audio8, an open-source set of on-device audio models that run on phones, PCs and other compute/memory-constrained hardware for local inference:
- ASR: 0.1B / 0.3B / 0.6B / 3B variants;
- TTS: 0.1B / 0.3B / 0.6B variants;
- Includes an iPhone offline transcription build, part of a broader shift of speech AI from cloud to edge.
A directly usable open-source option for developers building local or mobile speech recognition and synthesis.
