Community reports say some users on GPT-5.6 Sol are being routed to GPT-6 Sol in the backend, with positive early feedback citing its speed and heavy RL focus (unconfirmed by OpenAI).
Corroborating signals: GPT-5.5 will be removed from ChatGPT, ChatGPT Work, and Codex starting October 14, seen as clearing the deck for a new model generation.
