Theoretical computer scientist Scott Aaronson writes that he has heard rumors AI companies have reached solutions to some very longstanding open problems in TCS, and are now sitting on multiple major announcements, delayed by the Navier-Stokes firestorm. This follows Andrew Curran citing Greg Brockman's hint that OpenAI made "significant progress" on a second Millennium problem — the rumor being they are close to or have already solved two of the remaining ones, identity unknown, possibly to be revealed at Dev Day.
