A r/LocalLLaMA user did the math on GPU scalping: with RTX 5090 cards going for $9,000 in the US, he flew round-trip from Orlando to Taipei for $1,081, bought the card at Taiwan's biggest retailer for NT$129,990 ($4,093) at MSRP, and enjoyed two weeks of food and sightseeing — still far cheaper than US scalper prices. Receipts and trip photos included.
