AI writing may not persuade you or me, but it's already very persuasive to a large number of people — that's why slop content gets millions of views.
Notably, companies aren't even optimizing much for persuasiveness: OpenAI eased back after 4o. That means huge headroom remains on this axis, a key link in the author's argument about AI agents accruing power.
