Andy Matuschak demos programmable highlighters that trigger AI actions on annotations
andy_matuschak · x · 2026-09-16
Andy Matuschak shares a reading-workflow concept: give highlighters program semantics. A green highlight on a citation fetches and prints the cited paper; an orange highlight on a claim prints a skeptical fact-check; circling a handwritten comment like 'Is there more recent work?' sends it with surrounding context to an agent. Annotations become composable agent triggers.
