Stealth startup Typesafe AI launched Jev, a frontier model claiming 20-200x faster and 40-400x cheaper inference (free output tokens), built on a novel training method called RLCD and a "type-safe", code-like output format optimized for machine-to-machine decisions. The founder claims to be a co-inventor of ChatGPT; DCVC led the seed round. Claims remain unverified by third parties.
