TTS Arena and LAION launch Voice Acting Arena, a blind test for AI voice acting

A new community benchmark, Voice Acting Arena (TTS-AGI x LAION x TTS Arena), is live on Hugging Face. Listeners hear two anonymous AI performances of the same scene and script, then vote on overall acting, direction-following, and how genuine the delivery feels; some tasks include laughter, gasps, and sobs. The goal is an ongoing evaluation of whether voice models can deliver convincing performances — not just realistic voices — with the data feeding upcoming research.
