OpenAI, Anthropic and Google are reportedly working to create an AI standards body. Cohere co-founder and CEO Aidan Gomez accused the dominant American labs of forming a 'cartel' under the guise of safety, arguing the real dispute is over who writes the guardrails and whose interests they protect.
