Peter Jansen (Allen AI) released the Scientific Contribution Graph, a large-scale resource mapping how scientific results build on prior work: 6 million contributions extracted from 655k open-access papers across CS, medicine, biology, physics and chemistry, linked by 36M prerequisite edges. The accompanying paper (EMNLP 2026 Findings) introduces scientific prerequisite prediction — models forecasting which existing technologies enable future discoveries — with contemporary models reaching 0.48 MAP under temporally-filtered backtesting. Data/API: 80GB, with a live demo.
