PhAI Labs releases Discovery Foundation Models tech report and scientist collaboration program

PhAI Labs released the technical report for Discovery Foundation Models (DFM), a research paradigm for AI systems that identify valuable unknowns, formulate questions, build hypotheses, design experiments, and revise understanding as evidence arrives—with experience carrying over across investigations.
Three independent research directions accompany the report:

A DFM Scientist Collaboration Program opens alongside, focused first on life sciences and biomedicine, inviting scientists to bring real questions, data, and wet-lab feedback; the report includes a wet-lab case study.
