An InfoWorld piece (Matt Asay) on coordinating many coding agents: Steve Yegge asked X how to manage 10-20+ agents and got 600+ replies pointing to Herdr, cmux, Conductor, and the Claude and Codex desktop apps, plus homemade tools. The real signal is what developers bolt on: shortcuts to find agents awaiting decisions, conversation recovery, task-grouping views. The core unsolved problem — generating work is easy, absorbing and finishing it isn't — means the winning tool may not be an IDE at all.
