COLMAP fully ported to the browser with WASM and WebGPU, now faster than native
danbri · x · 2026-09-15
Rafael L. Spring built a fully browser-resident implementation of COLMAP using WASM and WebGPU. No uploads, installs, or setup — drop in images or video, run the SfM pipeline, and export straight into any 3DGS tool. The first naive build was 10x slower than native; after heavy optimization it now outperforms the original. Launch is live for anyone to try.
