OpenShorts, an open-source self-hosted UGC video studio, has hit 4,047 GitHub stars. Paste a product link and it writes the script, creates an AI actor with voice and lip sync, plus B-roll, subtitles and hook overlays. It also clips long videos into vertical TikTok/Reels/Shorts cuts with thumbnails, titles and descriptions. The studio is free and watermark-free self-hosted, though AI actor/voice models still run on paid APIs.
