Jon Barron Explains Sphere-Circumscribed Texel Splat Rendering

Google research scientist Jon Barron breaks down a splat-based rendering approach: each texel is circumscribed by a sphere, whose circular splats flesh out the pixel's area plus a little extra. He jokes it's "a very expensive way to render these walls, but the flex is totally worth it."
