Tinycast: free open-source native Swift Raycast alternative under 100MB RAM
DanielLockyer · x · 2026-09-15
Tinycast is a fully native macOS launcher written in Swift, pitched as a tiny Raycast alternative: under 100MB RAM, 3MB on disk, no Electron, no account, no telemetry, free and open source.
Features include fuzzy app launching, an inline calculator (units, currency, time zones, dates), unlimited clipboard history, window management with 34 commands, Markdown snippets, file and calendar search. AI chat works with Apple Intelligence, Codex, Claude, OpenCode or any API you bring, and Quick Actions can fix, rewrite, translate or summarize selected text in any app. It also runs Raycast extensions (JavaScriptCore + SwiftUI rendering) and imports everything from Raycast in one step.
