A developer using the open-source Pi Coding Agent (and occasionally Claude Code) wants a minimal CLI agent for quick one-off tasks inside bash scripts. Their Pi setup adds 2s overhead vs a raw curl API call, growing with extensions, with some users reporting 10s startups.
