New paper: LLM projects to enhance democracy threaten democratic autonomy

A new open-access paper by Lorenzo Manuali examines the wave of projects using LLMs to enhance democracy, such as AI facilitators and AI representatives. It argues that the most prominent of these projects undermine a crucial democratic value in the process: democratic autonomy.
