Cloudflare adds per-Worker access scoping and four granular roles for agents and teammates
dinasaur_404 · x · 2026-09-15
Cloudflare now lets you scope access to individual Workers and has introduced four new Developer Platform roles: Metadata Read-Only (observability without source code), Content Read-Only, Editor (can deploy but not delete), and Admin.
The move targets teams where teammates, CI tokens, and agents all interact with production apps, enforcing least-privilege access so an agent can't change production resources it wasn't explicitly granted. The company frames it as essential infrastructure for the growing wave of agentic workflows on its Developer Platform.
