An early-access user tested the new open-source Cline Desktop app with the free GLM-5.3 Flash model across everyday workflows.

- Scheduled review (standout): A background job comparing the README with the implementation caught a genuine data-loss risk — a corrupted file could be read as an empty task list and later overwritten.
- Cline Desktop is a native interface for open-weights models, usable with ClinePass free models (DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash, etc.) or BYOK with any provider.
