An exposé reveals CrofAI, which claimed custom inference kernels for rock-bottom prices, silently routed requests to cheaper models via OpenRouter at up to 20x markup and faked its own model family. After denial and a fake 'team takeover' blog post, the founder deleted everything online within hours.
