The author tested image-editing consistency by rebuilding the same "asset" across three steps. The third build used a single instruction—change the NOVA can from matte black to bright metallic red—and the face, pose, jacket, wet pavement, skyline, and headline copy all stayed exactly in place.
The takeaway: one good image proves nothing anymore; behaving like a single asset revised across steps is what matters. But this consistency isn't casual prompting—every build carried heavy hand-written constraints. The model is only as consistent as the instructions you're willing to write.
