Polymarket opens 50/50 odds on frontier AI labs signing a 2026 joint pacing agreement
Polymarket · x · 2026-09-15
Polymarket launched a new market asking whether at least two frontier AI labs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, Meta) will announce a joint pacing agreement by Dec 31, 2026 — currently at 50%.
A qualifying agreement must be officially announced and include at least one of: conditioning training/release/deployment on safety requirements, capping training compute, limiting recursive self-improvement, or otherwise pausing or slowing training or release. Mere expressions of support or ongoing negotiations don't count. The 50% opening itself is a notable industry sentiment signal.
