Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, interviewed at the All-In Summit 2026, responded to former Anthropic researcher Jacob Coxon's whistleblower posts and Dario Amodei's "We Must Pace the Frontier" essay:
- On the whistleblower: He praised Coxon's courage — "whenever you have a whistleblower, you have to take it very seriously" — calling it a very serious matter, though he said some issues were conflated within the posts.
- On the extinction prediction: He rejected the 10%+ extinction risk figure as "not grounded on science" and "made up," arguing that researchers making such predictions is "alarming and troubling" and "irresponsible."
- On pausing/pacing: Companies that feel out of control can voluntarily pause, but "we don't know what Coxon saw."
- He also cited past failed predictions, like the claim that AI would fully replace radiologists within five years.
The remarks came in the same week Coxon's disclosures and Dario's essay moved markets and dominated mainstream discourse, marking the most direct pushback yet from a major industry figure in the frontier AI safety debate.
