Cuban: Social media algos amplifying anti-AI sentiment pose bigger risk than agent swarms

Mark Cuban points out an irony: social media recommendation algorithms from Meta and Google will amplify anti-AI sentiment far beyond positive AI discourse, and those platforms may even profit from pushing AI-hate content to subsidize their own AI efforts.

He argues frontier labs, despite having the most powerful AI, can't yet reverse-engineer social media algorithms to push viral content for their own agenda. In his view, the risk from how humans react to what they see on social media is far greater than what agent swarms will do—unless agents eventually gain control of the algorithms themselves.
