Codex ports a beloved retro game to C++/WASM in 3-4 days of side time

A developer used Codex in interactive mode, working 3-4 days in parallel with other projects, to port one of his favorite retro console games to C++—buildable natively on any desktop or into WASM. Wide mode looks great, with multiple rendering styles.

He notes the appeal is graphics and UI/UX rather than handcrafted reverse engineering of an unknown architecture. All workflow findings are documented and reusable for porting more SMD games.
