OM-1 Debuts: Robot Foundation Model Zero-Shot Generalizing Across Any Robot
zipengfu · x · 2026-09-15
Physical Intelligence introduced OM-1, its first robot foundation model, zero-shot generalizing to any robot embodiment: tabletop arms, industrial arms, and humanoids. Highlights: learned directly from human manipulation data with no teleop or robot data; near human-level dexterity and efficiency; multi-robot collaboration. Retweeter Siyuan Huang (involved in the work) commented that "achieving human-level speed execution is something Astra can never achieve," congratulating Zipeng Fu and the team.
