Responding to Dario Amodei's 'We Must Pace The Frontier,' vikramskr argues the hardware buildout trajectory won't change: AI safety only progresses if all labs move together — otherwise pausing just cedes advantage; off-frontier models still have vast real-world uses; and making AI broadly useful requires far more compute. Safety must stay a priority, the question is where resources go.
