Futurist Dan Faggella argues that any window for human-AI merger or symbiosis would likely be short-lived, and whatever remains of us would quickly cease to be recognizably human—yet contributing to something beyond ourselves is "the noblest aim." He says the "if we can't beat them, join what becomes" mindset is gaining ground as the coping beliefs of permanent human control and AI automatically caring for us fade.
