Per The Information, Anthropic, OpenAI and Google have been meeting since July to design shared frontier-AI safety standards. This follows Sam Altman's Fortune interview where, asked why the few frontier leaders can't just get in a room and align, he said "I think that will happen" — hinting the labs may agree to slow down together rather than race blindly toward more powerful AI.
