Robot neck design talk: pan motor in base, tilt in head for compact motion

In a thread about Unitree's end-effector kinematics, one engineer suggests a compact 2-DOF head design: mount the pan motor at the base and put the tilt motor inside the head, so the neck barely extends and the motion closely matches human movement. A differential setup can add a third roll DOF. Swapping axis directions alone would not match the human motion, they note.
