Claude Bug Exposes Pages of Chain-of-Thought, Then Blocks Every Prompt With "Reasoning Extraction"
Kahlmo · reddit · 2026-09-15
A Reddit user reports Claude suddenly outputting pages of full chain-of-thought reasoning — how it interprets prompt elements and decides what to do. Asking about it triggered a "reasoning extraction" block.
Oddly, every subsequent prompt was then blocked regardless of content, switching models didn't help, and even asking it to prepare handoff files before /clear failed — suggesting the triggered filter state persists across the session and model switches.
